How far into this speech before we hear about the electoral college?
When it comes down to the nuts and bolts of negotiating salary and benefits for the average Joe and Jane worker, I’m not sure you could write a law that could actually help more than a union outside of straight up nationalization of literally every company. Shit like parental leave, weekends, 8 hr days, sure, that can be done at the federal level, but how much does a strawberry picker or a burger flipper or an HR underling with N years of experience get paid?
