You need to watch The Big Short again.
This made me curious to take a look at my spending/economic impact this year vs last year. I looked at March to September 2019 and the same period in 2020. Removed my expenses that are constant (debt/loan payments) so I’m only factoring in every day expenses, dining out, entertainment, travel, etc. I spent 87% less this year than last year.
Granted I’m a bit more on the extreme end as I had the added benefit of recovering from two surgeries to motivate me to just stay home for several months, but I just don’t see how the economy isn’t totally destroyed when this is all said and done.

I don’t drink, but if I started then it would be 45 pints, no problem and a packet of crisps, then some nuts, up till 2am no worries to be up at the crack of dawn for the lady making a fry up, then I’d be back on it and never stop I tell ye.
