I just watched McCain STONE COLD 3 more times and laughed hysterically all three times.

Not in NY market.
He strikes me as a bright, competent, intelligent guy. He’s a rising star in the party, and he has no realistic path to higher office where he lives. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get a cabinet post and those three seem like the best. For UN Ambassador he speaks like 18 languages and is a good communicator.
I think what he should want is sort of the opposite of what he should get. The overlap may be DHS. If he deescalates things at the border and keeps federal law enforcement away from protests or gasp uses them to protect protesters, that helps him in his next run.
He needs to win over black supporters for his next run. Tough to do in the cabinet…
I don’t think he’s any more sociopathic then the average member of Congress, but I do think he’s more competent.

Odds that he has already asked or will ask some high level national security people about the possibility of poisoning Biden?
I’ve always thought he was good at selling his positions and Dem positions to Republican voters. One of the things that drew me to him early was the way he could sell the Democratic Party as the party of freedom, values, the military, etc. Not ceding those points for another generation seems like a good idea.
