Trump did not call Covid-19 a hoax - and other false claims
If you’ve been on social media today, you’ve probably seen many rumours floating around.
There have been false claims that the president called the virus a “hoax”, that a military “doomsday plane” was launched and even speculation - without evidence - that President Trump faked his coronavirus diagnosis.
But public flight data shows that E-6B Mercury flights - often called “doomsday planes” - are common, even when the president is well. In fact, they happen about every other day.
The particular plane in question has flown 19 times in the past month.
In a statement, a military spokesman confirmed the E-6B flights were part of planned missions.
I mean to get sympathy and support out of this, Trump has to admit that the virus badly affected him (aka weakness) and that he was wrong. Two things that he is literally incapable of doing sincerely, and almost literally incapable of even faking.
I see coverup and denial coming, same as he has fucked up the Coronavirus response generally…
You’re all probably unaware of the subtext for some BBC statements now that they’re threatened by a new right wing media TV channel supported by Conservatives old and new.
They’ll be bending over backwards to appear unbiased.
I’m old enough to remember when a bunch of prominent twitter accounts got hacked and started begging for bitcoin, and we all talked about how bad it could be if the hackers had started putting out disinformation… Like saying the President was sick.
