Pelosi should issue a statement that she is going into complete isolation immediately to protect the continuity of the government in case she is needed.
Internally, Dems should be discussing who to make speaker if she tests positive. It should be someone well respected, and relatively moderate. It can’t be someone the GOP loathes, given the circumstances and the looming election. It should also be someone under 60 (or able to completely isolate), and does not need to be a sitting member of the House.
I’d seriously consider Buttigieg, Harris, Julian Castro, Chris Cuomo, Gretchen Whitmer, and John Kerry.

Trump dying before the election is probably the second worst outcome after him living and winning. The vast majority of deplorables will still turn out because Trump would be a martyr, foxs running wild with dems celebrating, and Pence is still a huge MAGA guy. etc. But the turnout for Biden would take a massive hit.
I wanna enjoy this because lol trump, but I see more bad outcomes than good. I think part of it is Trump always runs like the sun.
But yeah he and his team were doing a bunch of dumb risky shit so it should be obvious to everyone but deplorables he did this to himself.

That said my timeline on FB is all lefties laughing and rejoicing which, I don’t blame them, but is gonna be serious energy for his base and probably a lot of moderates who think its in super bad taste.

I know, how the fuck did I sleep on this last night.
Any increase in instability or uncertainty increases the line significantly, but from a very low probability, in a similar way to the scare stories about processed meats tripling your chance of bowel cancer.
The greater threat imo is having them around for centuries.
