I wrote this for FB a few days after 11/8/16 with the intent for FB but my wife convinced me not post it.
"Remember all of those obnoxious anti-Obama memes and lies that percolated over the last eight-ish years? They were frustrating because within them was the obvious implication that I and other Obama voters were actually stupid or somehow duped for supporting him. After all, how could we be dumb enough to support a man who’s a Muslim terrorist? How could we support someone who was the architect and namesake of a program (originally designed by Republicans) that has helped to insure millions? How could we support someone who was the President during an attack that cost four (not 2,753) American lives!?
All great and thought-provoking questions, truly. But turnabout is fair play, so now it’s my turn to insult your intelligence, much like what I’ve put up with over the last two terms.
Since last Tuesday evening there’s been a lot of talk about giving the President-elect a chance. Ain’t happening here. He gets zero chances from me. He’s DOA (fingers crossed!) as far as I’m concerned.
When they go low we go high? Nope. I go low too.
I look forward to seeing the disappointment when people finally realize the rapist-elect is a dangerous fraud. Even if it’s catching just a brief glimpse of a smug-turned-frightened face in the reflection of the looming mushroom cloud, that will be satisfaction enough for me.
