Guess? GUESS???
If Barr were guilty of something wouldn’t he have indicted himself by now?
Innocent til proven guilty. Can’t be guilty if you never charged with crimes.
Ignoring for a second my mistake that the guy is a journalist.
Cuse’s rage stems from conflating journalism with spitting fire. It’s a common problem, takes are better at stimulating dopamine and most people consider facts to be what confirms their world view.
I certainly think Barr is a crook, but I acknowledge the possibility that my world view is shaped by the high percentage of information I get here.
I see you too read Huffington Post
Nah I went to school for journalism. My rage stems from the fact that Barr’s actions have already proven who he is and how he operates.
Like the second graph should just be Barr, who already did X, Y, and Z in a brazen series of norm-breaking instances of dubious legality, etc etc… You don’t say “Barr is a crook!” You just lay out the factual context.
On Twitter?
Threads, how do they work guys?
Nevermind that you could probably fit it into a single tweet.
I’ve always said this is how journalists need to write their stories…
At the White House yesterday Trump reiterated his mistrust of mail in voting saying “millions of people voted illegally” while Nancy Pelosi said this morning on meet the press that “millions of people didn’t vote illegally”. When told of the both of these comments, noted ethics expert Bob Williams, author of the new book “How to spot a liar” said “absolutely one of these two people must be lying and in my expert opinion it is president trump” and when told of Bob’s comments Harvard political science professor Steve Johnson said “Liars should not hold political office and must be voted out”
because people really are this stupid and need it spelled out for them.
The crazy part is he actually made a good analogy. He said that NOT shooting somebody should be as easy as making a 3ft putt (and we should totally defund them because they’re bad at putting?).
I agree Mr. President!
Sometimes journalism is literally stenography. Remember that story a couple of days ago about the operation to find missing kids in Georgia? Let’s compare the CNN story with the government press release on which it’s based:
CNN:
Authorities have found 39 missing children in Georgia during a two-week effort to rescue endangered minors.
The US Marshals Service Missing Child Unit led the search, dubbed “Operation Not Forgotten.” It collaborated with the agency’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and state and local agencies.
…
During the operation, authorities arrested nine people, cleared 26 warrants and filed additional charges for alleged crimes related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession and custodial interference, US Marshals said. Some of the rescued children were believed to have been victims of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, sexual abuse, physical abuse and medical or mental health conditions. Others were missing and located at the request of law enforcement to make sure they weren’t in danger.
…
Since US Marshals partnered with NCMEC in 2005, the agency has recovered more than 1,800 missing children.
Marshals:
The U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit, in conjunction with the agency’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Georgia state and local agencies, led a two-week operation in August in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, to rescue endangered missing children.
“Operation Not Forgotten” resulted in the rescue of 26 children, the safe location of 13 children and the arrest of nine criminal associates. Additionally, investigators cleared 26 arrest warrants and filed additional charges for alleged crimes related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession, and custodial interference. The 26 warrants cleared included 19 arrest warrants for a total of nine individuals arrested, some of whom had multiple warrants.
…
These missing children were considered to be some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area, based on indications of high-risk factors such as victimization of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and medical or mental health conditions. Other children were located at the request of law enforcement to ensure their wellbeing. USMS investigators were able to confirm each child’s location in person and assure their safety and welfare.

Since its partnership with NCMEC began in 2005, the agency has recovered more than 1,800 missing children.
Trump wants to make sure there is a hefty campaign fund to pillage if he “loses”.
FYI you can just call the police and they will come and pick it up.
I know that seems insane, but it’s pretty straight forward. I just couldn’t imagine doing it in 2020.
or go to a gun shop and sell it for money ?
Or commit a crime and dump it in the bed of a trump supporter’s truck.
In Texas you can donate to church I think.
Would you be able to live with yourself if you found out the gun you sold for $50 was used to kill a human?
Who has the crazier posture?

Just like dad, jr now has written more books than he has read.
i’d keep the gun, personally. i have guns. i have them to show them off to friends who come by and to talk about them at the poker table and tell anyone who will listen about my household policy to shoot intruders on sight.
