pretty obvious the trump admin has threatened to break up FB the same way they’re fucking with google and twitter and he knows a lot on the left want to do that already. Plus a large portion of his market are old people who love that shit.

This quote from the Bloomberg article on Zuckerberg is an interesting case study in journalistic newspeak:
“Zuckerberg isn’t easily influenced by politics. But what he does care about—more than anything else perhaps—is Facebook’s ubiquity and its potential for growth.”
- The bold is an interesting euphemism for monopoly and increase personal profits.
- Since we live under capitalism, our politics are basically disagreements over exactly who controls the profits.
Now if we understand those two points, then we could rewrite the Bloomberg quote more accurately to be:
“Zuckerberg isn’t easily influenced by disagreements over who controls the profits. But what he does care about—more than anything else perhaps—is Facebook’s ability to be monopolistic and increase profits to himself.”
You see, Zuckerberg doesn’t care about who controls the profits, he only cares that he’s the one controlling the profits. That’s a totally different thing!
