lol he thinks this is real
It’s more than just @MysteryConman’s quality post for why we should have stayed out of WWI. Unfortunately I don’t remember exactly the source from which I’m recalling this, and alternate history scenarios are inherently fraught with uncertainty, but it can reasonably be argued that WWI was at a stalemate prior to the US joining. Had we not broken the stalemate, perhaps the appetite for a ceaseless war going nowhere would draw down in a fairly timely fashion on both sides, and the war ends with a ceasefire. Instead, by the Americans entering, they and their allies won total victory and forced substantial retribution on the Germans in the terms of the surrender. As such, Hitler rose to power in no small part on a platform of wanting to Make Deutschland Ueber Alles in revenge for what was foisted upon Germany as a result of the total loss in WWI. It’s far from certain that the European situation in the wake of a hypothetical WWI draw rather than what actually went down would have been a particularly peaceful region long term, but it’s also not hard to imagine that even in some of the possible bad alternate scenarios, those are less bad than WWII. As history played out, it’s certain that WWI and WWII were not really independent events but rather the conclusion of the former set the stage for the latter.
1.5 months. 1.5.
Bitcofer a little nutty but she isn’t dumb. Hope she’s right.

Lotta ballgame left
There’s no way that’s right. I don’t think that’d be right even if the election were tomorrow.
Probably having them sell off instagram. They testified recently and there are email chains showing FB buying small companies to get rid of competition.
1 in 200 is too much for this monster. It’s a real shame it’s more like 1 in 2.
The winners of WWII were going to be whoever bombed cities. No way around that. The bombing of SE Asia in the 60s and 70s really deserved War Crimes Trials.
To add, I take Trump at 199:1 right now for sure, and even if the election were tomorrow and I was sure he and his cronies wouldn’t or couldn’t cheat, I’d still take Trump at that price.

Life comes at you fast, apparently so do wildfires
Where we’re reminded–for the 10 thousandth time–that our sitting president regularly reacts to the same memes we’re embarrassed about when our relatives post them on FB.
Plus four more years.
I think he just prefers burgers, so the ketchup thing with a well done steak is him trying to burgerise a steak.
that’s a legit neologism
Silly British spelling though.
Well, it’s a representative democracy.
There’s no way. Trump will be disputing the election results for months. The period immediately after the election is going to be much worse than the run up to the election. Full court press on Facebook claiming victory, claiming that the fake news stories about votes still to be counted are Dems trying to steal the election, inevitable civil unrest. Its gonna be bad.
