Idk about he nose part. The burying thing goes back to wolves. Lots of animals cover their waste (cat in litter box). Seems pretty obvious this is not learned behavior.
My wife and I adopted a pair of kittens
The foster named them Link and Navi and since we’re Zelda fans we’re thinking of just keeping those names.

Keanu (top) and Ivy are now a year old,
Ivy is pretty social. She’ll take food from my hand and sit on my lap, but Keanu is still standoffish. He will sit nearby, but doesn’t like being touched

He has a pretty shameful, 1000 yard stare, “what did I just watch” look on his face in the first picture, so my guess would be racoon/cat porn.
