If we took the emmys to sum up the entirety of a TV year, 2023 would be one of the worst tv years of all time. Some of those nominations are horrendous.
Im not sure what the date cutoffs are. I thought this was mostly 2023 stuff with the Blue Eye Saumrai win and Bear S2 being nominated.

largely agree but this last season (#3 iirc) was fairly disappointing. it seemed to ignore where season 2 ended and basically ended in the same place where season 2 did all over again.
realizing now that I’m not sure what season of Hacks won here, but it probably doesn’t matter. The Bear season 2 was amazing. Maybe it got dinged bc it’s not actually a comedy.

Very enjoyable speech from Sebastian Stan. Happy for him. Show started pretty slow, but the Demi/Stan wins just now were good moments. (Colin Farrell winning a TV award earlier was fun too. Think he enjoyed that more than when his Banshees brilliance was passed over a couple of years ago.)

The Brutalist did great too, so I sure hope I love that one as much as I wish I would. Otherwise, I hope these Globes voters aren’t representative of the awards season we’re going to have.
