Hard to predict the series based on a goalie game.
I don’t see how Edmonton beats the cats, truthfully. Their defense has been incredible throughout the playoffs.
Doesn’t hurt that Bobrovski has also been a brick wall.
If every game is like game 1 Edmonton should win easily. Panthers were thoroughly outplayed, but Sergei stole the game.
I do expect the Panthers as a team to play better and Sergei to come back to Earth somewhat.
Panthers gave up 3-4 breakaways, I’m not sure how you could call that incredible defense.

The Rangers got a couple of breakaways on them as well. The way they play a high press makes them susceptible to that kind of pass. Also, Bobrovsky is vulnerale up high. He is really good at covering the bottom of the net, but he waves at shots up high. The challenge is that Florida is so aggressive on defense that shooters don’t get time to place their shots. Edmonton, especially Draisatl, are really good at picking spots. They should score some goals in the series for sure.
As a Pens fan always had the Sid side vs Ovy, but if you neutrals need a reason to hate the Caps

Yeah, you have to hand it to Florida. They are deep, tough, fast, skilled, organized, confident. They deserve to win.
As a Rangers fan, seeing the Oilers get pushed around is probably good for us. The Rangers fans and media certainly want a simple narrative about how our stars are weak losers and we’ve got to blow up the team and get Real Winners. I think that would be objectively stupid coming off a President’s Trophy season and showing as the second best team in the League in the playoffs. If Adam Fox was healthy we may have even beat Florida.
