Torts has Flyers 5-2 (Carter hart 5-0). Probably can’t last from a talent standpoint but coaching does matter.
I view Torts like terminal lucidity. His teams show spark and life for a while before finally dying.

Torts is complex, he contains multitudes. His signature coaching accomplishment was taking over a team led by 20 year old Lecavalier and 20 year old Brad Richards and he made champions out of them. St. Louis was a 40 point nobody when Torts arrived in TB and he developed into a HOFer. Torts can develop young talent, but young or old its his way or the highway.
Too much winning by the Habs for my taste. SJ and Anaheim doing a better tanking job.

We’re near 1st year Vegas Golden Knights territory.
Their odds to win the Metro has gone from 10/1 territory to -150
Everyone knew they had talent but its been a great year for them in terms of everything breaking right for them. Going into the season these were their question marks:
Will Jack Hughes ascend to super star status?
Will Norris-level Dougie Hamilton return?
Will Jesper Bratt prove that last year wasn’t a fluke?
Will Nico H settle in as a strong two way center?
Will they get quality goaltending from players with question marks on their past?
Will they get depth production from young developing forwards?
Through the first third of the season, these questions are all emphatically answered yes. They did a good job in their rebuild and now its paying dividends. I’m not supposed to like the Devils because I’m a Rangers fan, but you’ve got to hand it to them. That’s a good, fun team.

Will they stay healthy?
Buffalo looks pretty damn good too. Thompson is really good and their second line isn’t too shabby either. They could use a goalie though.
The Sabres seem like the NFL Lions. Now can score but lose way too many 6-4 games. Tough to attract a goalie here and lol drafting them is a crapshoot.
Still in hiding after that Adam Larsson is a lock to score 100 goals take.

If you count the goals Taylor Hall scored for NJ after they fleeced Edmonton in that trade, then the total is over 100!
nj fleecing in a trade, or edmonton getting fleeced, are a given. that doesn’t add any goals to larsson value.
speaking of, i should go see him kraken. he might even score a goal!
