I’m not sure anyone could score a lot of points with that roster.
My understanding is that Andy Reid decides which plays to run, and then Eric “calls” the plays into the QB. I could be wrong about that - but I think that is why Eric wanted a different OC job, because then he will actually call the plays.
He should be a HC by now.
Man when will this whole tall quarterback myth go the fuck away. Kyler Murray is 5’11". As is Bryce Young. Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Michael Vick, Tua are 6’0".

Sight lines are worse and batted passes are more likely the shorter a QB is. During Brees’ tenure the Saints always invested premium resources in the interior O Line. Most of those other guys are known for being at their best outside of the pocket. Some short QBs being successful despite their height doesn’t mean it’s not an advantage for a QB to be tall.
Bieniemy calls some of the plays. But when and how much has been the great mystery of his tenure in KC.
And yet two OCs under Andy (Peterson and Nagy?) get HC jobs.
He only wants to call plays because that is the excuse teams are using not to give him a HC. I’m sure he’d rather stay in KC, but at this point it’s clear he has to do extra to prove himself so is taking a risk to get HC.

That’s fine and I don’t disagree. I’m just pointing out that this isn’t a lateral move for him. It’s unquestionably a promotion. He has more responsibility in WAS than he did in KC.
Could also be career suicide if wash sucks which seems super likely. Although i assume he would be high on the list of successors to Reid.

But if he’s 6’2” 220 then he doesn’t have the same mobility, which is the key factor people are using to put him at #1. Also, there are no generational can’t-miss QBs in the NFL draft ever because they never play anything even remotely similar to NFL QB until you put ‘‘em out there. There’s plenty of film of Young looking shaky for long stretches. Burrow was probably the closest thing to a cant-miss recently given that Miami tried to trade up the #5, #18, and #30 to #1, and there were still people who had Herbert ahead of him late last year.
