The NFL Thread 2: 1. T Swift

I think a pretty good case could be made that the players felt threatened.

I hope it doesn’t get settled on principle.

He did it for a great cause. He should also be willing to take a hit from Wagner as part of that.

They should be trying to get Wagner to promote the cause instead whatever PR they are getting by filing suit.

He’s not going to get charged criminally, like 0.1 percent chance the DA decides to move forward with that imo. I wouldn’t be surprised if the protestor uses that report and feigns some injury in an attempt to go after him in civil court, where Wagner may settle just to avoid talking to lawyers.

What was the cause? Hard to notice what he’s wearing when all I see are two second clips of him getting decked.

While there are many ways to try to rally support for a cause, I’m pretty sure running on to a football field waving a banner has never worked.

So I am sure this guy will be happy with a $10k donation to some relevant animal rescue charity.

Right?

17-0 eagles would crush my soul and cause me to give up football like CTE could not even do.

What if a 17-0 Eagles team lost their first playoff game?

That would renew my faith in the NFL.

Worked for Golden Palace.

We usually watch TNF in the family room in front of the TV, but my girls were so cranky today that I nixed it. We ate. Away from the TV. Seems like I picked a perfect game to miss.

We might have a National QB Crisis in 2023 if Rodgers and Brady retire. Biden should force them to play.

Even with the pass-friendly rules, QB is possibly the hardest position to play in the big four sports.

Tim Collinsworth made an interesting point the other night that the biggest shift this season has been for defenses to play what he called a “soft shell” defense to try and prevent the big plays. I think he is basically referring to the two deep safety defense that famously flumoxed Mahomes when he first started facing it all the time.

Regardless of what you want to call it this season has seemed to have much fewer explosive plays for touchdowns. As a result you get these grinding drives full of short plays. Especially in games like last night with poor QBs and/or poor WRs the games become almost unwatchable as both teams can’t make explosive plays without a miracle and they can’t go more than a few plays without screwing up somehow. No one crossed the 8 yard line or so in that game.

Bears could use a QB like this

Yeah I was surprised to see how loose the Broncos dbs played near the line of scrimmage basically the whole game but it was effective.
