Ugh. Whatever we beat Ohio State I’m good until like 2025
Pretty sure it’s credible. It was all over DC sports radio this morning.
Holee fuck
He’s fucked. He’s falling on his sword for his peers
Buddy of mine who’s in a position to know. “Doesn’t surprise me one bit.” Says I’ll have to remind him to tell me his Elway story next time we’re hanging out in person lol…
He has zero chance of ever coaching again in the NFL.
I’m not even sure he’s in for a big payday either, as this was filed as a class action.
I’ve gotta say, I’ve done a complete 180 on Brian Flores since when he was actually the coach.
This really is complete seppuku as far as his career is concerned. And I think he was a lock for another HC job within the next few years.
If he causes Ross to lose the team, he will have been the best Dolphins coach since Shula. Obviously that is incredibly unlikely, but I’m saying there’s a chance. The league absolutely cannot tolerate owners paying coaches to tank. If true, Ross deserves to get Donald Sterlinged even more than Donald Sterling.
fans my god I wish this team would just tank for a better draft pick
someone actually tries but actually fails
GOT TO GET HIM THE HELL OUT OF THE LEAGUE THIS CANT BE TOLERATED
I just don’t like Ross. I don’t care how he gets got. I just want him gone.
If I thought he was competent and not a piece of shit, then I’d be hoping he got away with it.
- Lawsuit proceeds
- Book deal
- College coaching job
I could see a lot of kids wanting to play for the guy who stuck it to the NFL.
college now is about whoever pays the most (well was before but this is out in the open now)
Unless his first few pro prospects happen to fall in the draft…
Still not fully around this but does this mean the schools with the big booster support are going to crush it? Or is it linked to commercial opportunities locally (so like USC would be strong for example)?
I think it’s mostly this.
I’ve tried to have some of the CFB experts here explain some of this stuff to me. I’m still not straight myself.
There is a common view that it really doesn’t change that much since so many people were getting paid under the table anyway. That kind of makes sense. After all, schools with big booster support already crush.
btw
who has 3rd most available cap space next year?
the bengals
gonna be great when they still don’t pay for any OL
could use a not apple corner too
I mean were they getting 7 figures under the table? That’s what Caleb Williams is looking at after moving to USC, or at least that’s what I’ve read.
My guess is it’s a mixture of both, but there will be some nuance. For example, if you’re the starting quarterback at Texas Tech, you’re probably all but guaranteed some endorsements at the local car dealerships in Lubbock, and such, regardless of how good you are. But if you’re the starting quarterback at UCLA or USC and you suck, maybe not?
