I like how none of the Rodgers MVP conversation ever takes into account that his team lost a game because he wasnât vaxxed. That should count into the value equation right?
If you miss because of injury, thatâs one thing. But he actively hurt his team based on a decision he made. Itâs reasonable to take that into account. Yet even the biggest anti-Rodgers MVP arguers never seem to mention it.

To me that is a huge mark against him. Itâs a regular season award. He probably cost his team that game due to his shenanigans.
Doesnât mean he canât be mvp but certainly should ding him pretty good.

But they do use that argument with injury all the time. And technically you could say itâs the same thing. He wasnât there to contribute to his team. But no one ever blames the player for injuries.

You could use the same logic to argue Mahomes is the MVP. Look how badly the Chiefs got blown out when he was playing like shit earlier in the year!

Based purely on team records and stats, I would assume Brady, Stafford, Burrow, and Mahomes should all be in the running for MVP too right? Jonathan Taylor also if RBs winning is still a possible thing.

Stafford has had too many bad games to be in the running imo. My Preseason bet on Rodger at around +500 looking pretty good right now. Cooper Kupp is only on there since heâs within striking distance of the single season receiving record. But even if he hits it I imagine heâs still a significant dog since he did it in 17 games and Calvin Johnson didnât even get votes when he hit it. I like Burrow at +2000 maybe.
