Falcons are currently 30th in DVOA and were 32nd until this week. All their wins are one-score wins against terrible teams and they get their asses kicked the rest of the time.
Would Rogers even be front runner for mvp without the completely fake backlash about people potentially not voting for him because of lying about being vaxxed
Who else have you got?
Yes?
I like how none of the Rodgers MVP conversation ever takes into account that his team lost a game because he wasnât vaxxed. That should count into the value equation right?
If you miss because of injury, thatâs one thing. But he actively hurt his team based on a decision he made. Itâs reasonable to take that into account. Yet even the biggest anti-Rodgers MVP arguers never seem to mention it.
If anything itâll be the opposite, itâll be like âteam only lost 3 games all season and one they only lost because he was outâ
To me that is a huge mark against him. Itâs a regular season award. He probably cost his team that game due to his shenanigans.
Doesnât mean he canât be mvp but certainly should ding him pretty good.
Yeah itâs not âmost valuable if heâs playingâ, itâs âmost valuableâ.
But they do use that argument with injury all the time. And technically you could say itâs the same thing. He wasnât there to contribute to his team. But no one ever blames the player for injuries.
No I get it, I just mean people see that in terms of âlook how good he is, team is winless (0-1 lol) when he doesnât playâ.
Hey, donât ask me. I just work here.
Thatâs a good point. Brett Favre did win three MVPs, after all.
Joe Burrow is the #1 quarterback according to PFF and is second in quarterback rating.
You could use the same logic to argue Mahomes is the MVP. Look how badly the Chiefs got blown out when he was playing like shit earlier in the year!
No one disputes this!
Rodgers scooping up MVPs during Bradyâs 3rd prime and Mahomesâ only prime proves heâs the GOAT
Greatest Omicron-Acquiring Teammate
FAKE NEWS he almost surely got Delta
Based purely on team records and stats, I would assume Brady, Stafford, Burrow, and Mahomes should all be in the running for MVP too right? Jonathan Taylor also if RBs winning is still a possible thing.
I checked FanDuel.
Rodgers -400
Brady +550
Jonathan Taylor +1400
Joe Burrow +2000
Josh Allen +4000
Cooper Kupp +4000
Kyler Murray +7500
Dak Prescott +10000
Justin Herbert +10000
Stafford has had too many bad games to be in the running imo. My Preseason bet on Rodger at around +500 looking pretty good right now. Cooper Kupp is only on there since heâs within striking distance of the single season receiving record. But even if he hits it I imagine heâs still a significant dog since he did it in 17 games and Calvin Johnson didnât even get votes when he hit it. I like Burrow at +2000 maybe.
