CLEVELAND, Ohio ā The Brownsā bizarre COVID-19 testing situation on Thursday drew the ire of key players such as Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett, and as it turns out, the NFL directed the club to on Wednesday night to test only asymptomatic players and those who wanted to be tested Thursday morning, a league source told cleveland.com.
But the NFLPA stepped in and saw to it that the Browns and other teams with double-digit positives such as the Washington Football Team enforce the rules of enhanced COVID-19 mitigation protocols, which includes daily testing for all players, vaccinated and unvaccinated.
Apparently the NFL was trying to fudge it and the NFLPA made them adhere to the rules and test everyone.
I wonder how many players felt like the NFLPA fucked them on that (obviously it was the correct thing to do). Presumably they still get paid, but I assume they like winning also.
Itās really a microcosm of the country. Responsible people in charge are trying to do the right thing for the people whose interests they represent. Those people resent it and would prefer they did something dumber instead.
NFL water weed dune hair.
Of course the players donāt want it. Most have a very limited career window that can be ended at any time. They also all give themselves brain damage for fun. Someone needs to be the adult.
Seattle Los Angeles also moved to Tuesday.
None of this will effect the nfl stretch run Iām sure.
And the browns can complain but they probably should have eaten a forfeit.
Lol, man, Iād recognize that species of Narcissistic Melodramatic Cracker anywhere.
Poast on your phone.
Why?
I thought the forfeit stuff was only if a team had an outbreak of COVID among unvaxxed players. AFAIK this isnāt the case here.
Because rescheduling was not on the table and if they didnāt negotiate it they could have been forced to forfeit.
I donāt know the specific details tbh but I have seen multiple places reporting this.
I reserve the right to be wrong and hip to be square.
Yes causing adding a 17th game in the middle of pandemic made perfect sense. Morons getting what they deserve.
Eagles game at the same time as Flyers. They share parking and are a stones throw apart.
Heās going to get most of the $.
Read the comments to this. Good lord.
Why do you think that?
Because being a bad coach isnāt being fired for cause.
Kicking a player is a slam dunk for cause firing. Itās not even close.
Iām sure thereās some hostile work environment stuff in play too for calling his assistant coaches a bunch of losers. Not like coaches donāt spew some version of that all the time, but I still think it can be used against him if everybodyās on board willing to say he went above and beyond with verbal abuse.
