Do they, though? They have two great WRs, some OK TEs, a couple of pretty good RBs, and a bad OL. On the other side of the ball, the defense is historically bad. Pete is too conservative, too committed to the run, and has a bad defense despite that supposedly being his thing. Schneider and Pete have had only 3 decent drafts since 2012 (2019, 2018, 2015), the rest pretty bad, and their trades have almost all been horrible. They’re missing a first round pick this year because of one of those. Free agency has had some big misses and not a lot of hits. It’s unclear how quickly this team can get appreciably better.

Russ wants to be in the HOF. He sorta seems to be borderline from where I’m standing, but another ring would probably do it. Ring and Super Bowl MVP should do it. Maybe a regular season MVP? He doesn’t have that many more chances.

Granted the OL and defense aren’t great, but that is fixable in a year.

And pretty good is relative. The list of teams that would be a legitimate step up for him in terms of ring equity is pretty short.

What part of historically bad didn’t you understand? I mean, if Jamal Adams is now bad, and Carlos Dunlap isn’t anything special, who do you even build around?

I assumed that to be historically bad they would at least have to have the worst defense in the league this year. At least as far as DVOA is concerned, they don’t have that.

The offensive personnel is fine, although we need a new LT because Duane Brown is 36 and going downhill, would be nice to actually have a first rounder.

The D is just totally shit. Wagner is a HOFer, but getting old and expensive. Diggs is fine, Adams is probably good in a better scheme. Neal and Reed might be OK. Taylor has been the only one getting sacks this year. I thought Dunlap was good last year, but he’s been invisible.

Basically everything else is super trash, but it’s hard to evaluate because the gameplan obviously doesn’t work with the personnel and dudes are wide open over the middle every fucking play.

The clear answer to “who do the Hawks build around?” is the GOAT, Michael Dickson, obv.

I hate it. 6th week and the Bucs play again on TNF. First game TNF, week 4 SundayNight, and now again TNF and it probably wont be the last time they play outside the RZ-time.

Its usually deep at night for me and I only bought RZ since I cant watch most of the TNF,MNF and SNF anyway. Besides watching one game sucks with all the add breaks.
