The Great Pronoun Debate

Interpreting a naked she as a typo seems really pessimistic.

Yea and that’s soooooo hard to do

Wearing a mask SUCH INCONVENIENCE

It actually accomplishes a lot and helps people

Are you trans? If yes, can you elaborate on how it helps you?

How is caring about transgender people performative like some people actually do care about trans people unlike simplicitus Who keeps trying to make funny jokes that aren’t landing

Yeah there’s lots of people that use she them or he them

Have any of the ones you know ever said why they prefer that specific combo?

My therapist uses she and they pronouns she them

I think it’s more just they don’t care if you call them she her they or them like they all feel right

Yeah, we covered that. Using she/her AND they/them is a thing people do and there are different ways to convey this. What I’m interested in is if anyone uses she/them but does not want to be referred to as they/her.

No that’s all basically included like implied as far as I know

But I’ve never really discussed it super deep with anybody but I’m pretty sure it’s all acceptable Unless somebody specifically told you otherwise I suppose

Jesus dude. Its 2021 and youre on a progressive board. How do you not recognize how shit it is to stubbornly take a deplorable view point then insist that a marginalized group does the hard work of educating you??

Even assuming you will engage in good faith, which, based on current performance, seems unlikely.

This was good. Armchair expert is quickly becoming a favourite podcast. Dax and Monica are so good together and they have on such great guests.

Bummer it’s moving to a Spotify exclusive next month.
