The Great Pronoun Debate

Hi. We are all working through this at our own pace, but do you get why this is deeply problematic?

Them: hey. Can you make this minor adjustment so me and some other folks, can, you know, survive and shit. (The science and evidence here is clear around non acceptance leading to poor outcomes and acceptance leading to good outcomes)

You: thats dumb. I graded a SAT paper once.

My bad caught up with posts, disregard what I said

Sort of, but that’s the absolutely most uncharitable interpretation of what Metsnfins (have mercy is that who we think it is?) actually said.

We could spin it totally the opposite way if we wanted.

Them: hey. Can you make this minor adjustment so me and some other folks, can, you know, survive and shit. (The science and evidence here is clear around non acceptance leading to poor outcomes and acceptance leading to good outcomes)

Metsnfins: You all are important and special and deserve a new word; you are good and worthy of us revamping language, that’s how much this matters.

You, Rugby: thats dumb. I read a post about an SAT paper once.

Yeah. Its really important that we precisely parse people calling trans things dumb. Otherwise we will be doing just the same thing.

Your posting ITT is fucking awful.

Of course it’s important, and you take for granted why trans things are not dumb because other people did the heavy lifting for you.

How so? Tell me what you really think and I’ll tell you what I think.

It’s not that I’m trolling or that I think this is a good response here, but I can’t just watch this without sharing.

In many language the male pronoun was used for either. I get why that is frowned upon now. The word they is still a plural word tho
