It’s reminded me of the time when, as small kids, my sister (crazy about animals) and I were once taken to the zoo. On reaching the llama enclosure she got excited about how sweet they looked, though the nearest llama, chewing all the time while it studied her, opened its mouth and spat all over her.
My dad and I were laughing hysterically.
I just did a google image search for “cosmonaut soviet mural.”
The element of surprise…
That’s you/? … so jealous.
I don’t think I’ve really seen the full sky + Miky Way properly and is something I keep telling myself to get sorted. Limited options in the UK but we have a couple of dark sky areas so I really do need to work on that. Aberdeenshire here we come … one day.
yeah, that’s me standing there. Hubby took the shot with a Canon DLSR. The backlighting is from the campfire we had going.
Here’s one of my favorite photos of his. This is actually in color, just the lighting/setting makes it look mono. There’s a bunch of closed railways around here…they aren’t supposed to ride on them, but everyone does anyway.
My other favorite photo (this one is always a hit when we show it). That’s our 1931 Pierce Arrow in Shamrock, TX, at an old station that was one of the inspirations for the Cars movie.
