Did you throw it out yet? The drive inside is likely fine. You should be able to remove the drive from the device and plug it into a pc to get your data.
I did try that but I could never get the drive to power on.

I mean yes and no. A quick check shows London is 1.3, and Melbourne about 1.2.
So all American cities are being graded on a curve.
I think the message to take away is Republicans are just as good at random guessing how safe a city is in terms of crime. It’s all just propaganda

I love charts that list stats about some X number of American cities because unless it’s very specifically “the top 10 largest”, they ALWAYS, without fail, leave off San Diego.
This chart has 15 cities on it…which means almost half of them are smaller than San Diego.
San Diego is the 8th largest city in the US! Second largest in California. The LA-San Diego rail corridor is the second busiest in the entire US.
We need a new motto. Instead of “America’s Finest City” it should be “America’s Forgotten City.”
MSA is a lot farther down and you get subsumed into LA. City size is always larger in the west vs east just from annexations. Boston doesn’t have Cambridge for example, despite almost every western city would have them combined
FWIW Phoenix and San Antonio are both larger than SD and also not on the list.
I think of Salt Lake as being quite a bit bigger than its 200k population and it is, if you consider the metro area. The murder rate numbers are all over the place, from well below to above average, depending on the source. When I feel unsafe it’s not because of that though. More the homelessness and traffic when walking around alone. Even then, intellectually I know I’m almost 100% to be fine but my anxiety still goes up in some situations.

took this pic at a market in Tokyo a few weeks ago bc I was so astounded by the prices. Ikioi will know more, but iirc those grapes are supposed to be some special Japanese varietal that are much larger than standard grapes. we get knockoffs in Korean supermarkets here in NYC. they’re very sweet and not worth the markup.
