I donāt get all the ālol Trumpā for doing standard NFT stuff. This is exactly what everybody else did. Thereās been hundreds of nearly identical drops by various athletes, musicians, etc.
The reason to ālol Trumpā is that heās 18 months late to the game. This thing would have killed last fall.

I bet a lot of the āLOLTrumpā is because the person writing it is a political reporter/commentator who wasnāt previously familiar with the way NFTs work and are only digging into the mechanics now b/c of the Trump hook.
If you basically rewind back to when TopShot was first mentioned around these parts, and remember some of those takes, that will let you know what level a bunch of these folks are on.
I personally LOLd because I expected a bigger announcement. Like something to do with his campaign or something rather than just more begging

Plus, Iāll eat my fucking hat if the opportunity to actually see Trump is anything more than him coming out and waving to the crowd for two seconds. Whatever rubes spend their life savings to be there will still say it was the pinnacle of their existence though.
