I’ll be going to bed in an hour or two and when I wake up, very little would surprise me. Totally peaceful day goes off without a hitch: not that surprised. Total breakdown of order and blood in the streets: sure, why not. It’s a very balanced range.

I had long ago hoped that this day would mark the moment where things would “go back to normal” and like flipping a switch the nightmare would be over. Obviously the damage done is too great for that to be possible, and perhaps too great to ever be undone.
But that said, today has come, and we should allow ourselves at least a moment to rest. His presidency is over. It was an incredibly long and terrible four years, but they are now forever behind us.
Tomorrow, things will still be an unmitigated disaster on many fronts, but for today, good has trumped evil, and for that, I suggest that we celebrate. Cheers, friends.

How does it work if this gets reinstated today or tomorrow? Do you need to become a lobbyist between noon and whenever the new EO is signed, else you’re SOL?
