HA HA YES
So McConnell making the case against Trump…and I guess he’ll hang his hat on the “out of office” argument. Interesting.
If anyone (not here, just in general) wasn’t sure how horrible of a person Mitch McConnell is, they should listen to this speech of him making the entire case against Trump, yet still voting to acquit.
On the bright side, this forces every R who voted to acquit Trump to explain why they did so. Are they more on the side of McConnell or a totally innocent Trump?
The entire media is deranged, this isn’t apples to apples to a typical trial as they are well aware. Using the word “acquitted” as the headline for a 57-43 vote is wildly misleading and they know it.
anybody spending their Saturday watching an impeachment trial is already voting blue 100% of the time
How come guys that want to run for POTUS in 2024 (Cruz and Hawley) wouldn’t vote against Trump? Doesn’t he stand in their way of being president? If Trump decides to run in 2024, they have no shot now.
First question for Mitch should be whether he would endorse indicting Trump in a criminal court.
I can’t listen to Mitch without my ears bleeding. Cliffs?
and people gambling on it that burr vote made someone bank
better shot than voting against trump as an R
Basically, he’s repeated the entire case against Trump, saying Trump is totally guilty of what he’s accused of. But impeachment is unconstitutional because Trump is no longer in office, so fuck all y’all.
Apparently the base would never forgive them and consequently they would have no chance. At least that’s the argument I’ve heard.
It’s more analogous to a hung jury though obviously not apples to apples either. Assuming you want to use “neutral” language it should be “57-43 bipartisan majority fails to reach 2/3 threshold to impeach.”
This is your brain on democrat

Is that prick still arguing for slavery?
That seems kinda dumb. They need Trump out of the picture. That ain’t happening now. Unless they hoping to be rewarded as VP and he dies in office.
