uhhhh yeah I mean that’s the most obvious and likely scenario but man, he’s been out of the spotlight for a month, he thinks he’s innocent, he relishes people talking about him - he could absolutely show up.

Even questioning by Republican Senators would have some entertainment value. I’m sure they don’t want to plunge right back into the “stolen election” quick sand. But I don’t know how they could avoid it. Agree Trump is likely on solid ground to believe he’s freerolling and his allies will not vote to convict no matter what.

If Biden could handle him in the debates, so can the Senate. This would go on for hours, not 10 minutes.
He would not answer questions. He would “That’s a really nasty question, fake news, excuse me, EXCUSE ME, you can’t talk to me that way, I’m the President, I won big” ramble and rant at every opportunity.

It will go about as well as the recent Pillow Guy interview on Newsmax. Pillow Guy was supposed to talk about whether Trump’s Twitter ban could potentially be “temporary,” but he wouldn’t shut up about election fraud.
At 42 seconds, the Newsmax anchor begs producers to intervene, then gets up and walks off camera to escape the madness.
This was as good a test run for a Trump testimony as we’re likely to see. Every one of his impeachment lawyers so far has reacted to him the same way that anchor did. Live testimony would be glorious.
