The Final Debate: Biden v Trump the Shitshow wrapped in a clusterfuck having sex with a goatshow inside a dumpster fire

Trump telling white supremacist groups to ā€œstand byā€ combined with announcing in advance that the election is rigged against him probably canā€™t be too good with moderates, although if you are still uncertain at this point than you are an idiot anyways.

Zing!

I donā€™t think thatā€™s nearly the same as calling him a loser. Trump only views every possible aspect of the world in terms of winning and losing. Literally nothing else matters to the man. Throwing the label ā€œLoserā€ on him and making it stick on a world stage would be like throwing water on the wicked witch of the west. He would melt before our eyes

simplicitus is most likely right that Biden too chill probably didnā€™t hurt him. It could be my own bias of wanting so bad to see him humiliated in the only way possible (because winning and losing is the only value system he recognizes). What I want to see and whatā€™s best might be two different things. I wouldā€™ve loved to hear Joe say something like, ā€œCan you give this guy a rattle or pacifier please?ā€ Or turn directly to Trump and say, ā€œYouā€™ve lost more money in the last 10 years than any person on earth! Youā€™re a loser and everyone knows itā€. Stuff like that.

Again, that might be the worst strategy for him, but I think a younger Biden couldā€™ve pulled it off while retaining his dignity unlike Trump. Just my opinion

This gave me a good chuckle.

GODDAMNIT WE ARE ALL SO DISTRACTED BY THIS BULLSHIT WEā€™RE MISSING THE SOUTH PARK SPECIAL

Iā€™m not arguing with your list, but can you help me understand why Reagan is #2? I get he was a Hollywood actor but he was 69 (thatā€™s pretty cool I guess) when he was inaugurated and Iā€™d like more info on all the cool thingd he did in while in office. Educate me plz.

I was thinking about this yesterday, when someone said he ā€œaccomplishedā€ diverting attention from the NYT story. That diversion is probably one of the best things that couldā€™ve happened (for his opponents).

What was clear from the discussion on the NYT story was that it was hard to find a very succinct, cogent ā€œhitā€ on him from the article - because there were so many different angles. And generally a lot of it was too complicated for the general public to follow.

But Trump allowed everyone to pivot to two very easily digestible talking points - that heā€™s a boorish asshole and he wonā€™t disavow white supremacists.

Anyone know how they select the people that get to ask a question. I would LOOOOOVE to have that opportunity for the sole reason of shutting Trump down when he interrupts.

Just start out a question to Biden like ā€œMr. Vice President, President Trumps failure to act on COVID has already cost us 210,000 Ameriā€¦ā€ and thatā€™s about where trump would start shouting over me. Then if I had the nerve for it Iā€™d just go off. ā€œDonald, I know that when you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth and handed everything you ever need in life it may make you feel like you can talk over anybody without being told no, but not today. With all due respect, which is an incredibly small amount if Iā€™m being honest, please shut up and let me finish my question. The adults are talking right now.ā€

It would be worth the death threats.

The more I think about it, the more I realize this would be a great line for Biden to drop. Patronize Trump while expressing the fact that leadership takes maturity and experience, of which trump has neither.

Iā€™m salivating at the potential to see something like that. Trump got hammered pretty hard at his own town hall. He for sure will be thrown some heaters when there are guaranteed Biden supporters ready to destroy him.

This list is not based on accomplishments, only personality and demeanor. Like, who would you want as your wingman? (Assume normalized for age.) Points were deducted for be efforfully rather than effortlessly cool. Regan was so effortlessly cool that he conned a generation into becoming right wing extremists. Trump is so uncool that every semi-cool thing he does involves obviously high effort.

Hell, even a moron Trump supporter might throw the orange idiot a fastball.

ā€œHey bro, wasnā€™t that funny how I tripped up the president? And then he rushed me and tried to break my neck?! Well, he lost the election, but I got a great story.ā€

Gallup will be involved in screening uncommitted voters. I think the moderator has a say in which questions get used.

He was a major Hollywood star. That earns some cool cred.

Today Johnny outed himself as Aaron Sorkin.

Not really. More because I value my anonymity more than that I am afraid to bet.

Keep in mind that only half the questions go to Trump. Didnā€™t they also use questions from social media last time? If they do that again, there are only so many people who Trump can pick a fight with. Also, that in this context, ā€œcitizenā€ means a voter asking a question and not Biden or a moderator, so no angle there.
