“Huge win for Trump: after shooting 8 toes off in Debate #1, he only shot two of them off this time.”
An astute person might respond, “Uhh but he’s out of toes, right?”

That’s a kill shot.
Lord as my witness Joe just killed him! Good God Almighty!
Tough to top, but mocking Joe for giving a fuck about middle class families and saying “Good!” about families being separated was a damn good attempt.
Trump mocked him for caring about working class families and said good about family separation.
Blast the first one on national ads and in every swing state, target the second one at big cities in swing states and especially in Houston, El Paso, San Antonio and the RGV.
The debate reminded me of a 120 meter hurdles race I ran in High School. I was a shotputter and discus thrower. But it was a dual meet and each team just had one hurdler. So just by getting across the finish line, I could get a point for the team for finishing third. I was plenty spry enough to clear the hurdles even though I hadn’t really tried to do more than one or two in succession before. My goal was to clear all the hurdles without falling on my face or stopping. And though I stumbled and got off balance, I cleared every hurdle and finished the race. This debate felt like one of the last hurdles.
I’m going to regret this but did you win the meet?
Funny story, but actually the other team they were leading by a wide margin for the whole meet managed to beat them in the end!
Ha. There are many things about that meet that I don’t remember. That would be one of them.
I had a similar thing going with the one mile walk event where the hardest thing to do was to not break form and forget to lock your knees after every step. I would always score points just by doing the event and not breaking form because everyone else would end up dq’ing.
Facepalm. Not the best analogy for this election there Chippa. You should have just lied to us!
One opportunity missed is whenever race comes up Trump immediately talks of criminal justice reform which is racist. Biden should counter with "I am trying to create more opportunities for black, latino, minority owned businesses, while he only associates minority needs with criminal justice reform " I think that would drive turn out a lot and might grab some of the anti abortion latino vote away from Trump.
Watched last night and slept on it.
Biden did very well.
Trump did well.
They both gave their base what they wanted.
The polls will tighten.
My emotional hedge bet on Trump still feels live.
Buckle up.
My sober day after reaction is:
-Trump did better but still was awful.
-Biden did what he needed to do. A few of his answers were disjointed and didn’t make a lot of sense. It seems like sometimes he wants to say a lot and skips ahead rather than finishing each segment of his argument. I don’t know if it is the stutter or not but I am guessing so.
-If the biggest blunder was Biden saying we need to end fossil fuel subsidies he did pretty well. I’d guess fossil fuel subsidies poll below 50%.
-The moderator was awful.
-I’m glad we never have to watch one of those again.
-The net result will be almost nothing on the vote totals.
Because it gives legitimacy to his stupid fucking claims
It’s was the right does
Oh we kidnapped kids and put them in cages, we so did Obama
You don’t want to be like, oh hunter is bad? But whataboutism your kids
Just say it’s a lie and laugh in his face and move on.
The undecideds in 2016 were deciding between 2 people they didn’t like and who we had no experience with in terms of how they’d be President.
The undecideds in 2020 are a lot fewer and are basically deciding if they want 4 more years of this shitshow.
The media narrative matters a lot more in the 2016 situation. So obviously the media still sucks but it’s not the same situation.
Also we’re still far enough away from the election that Trump is going to change the story to something ridiculous long before any debate narrative could be drilled into the heads of low info voters.
The whole “i prepaid millions” thing is so dumb
On the face of the tax return it would show estimated taxes paid
But it doesn’t show that
It shows all his gains wiped out by real estate deductions and or losses
But if you believe this laptop non sense you can believe anything.
The 60 minutes interview airs sunday. Hopefully that will be the lasting image in voters minds and not this debate
We are all on edge but I am at an absolute loss for words to describe my rage and contempt at the media in this country.
First, the moderator is being universally praised for keeping things under control or whatever. She was terrible. This isn’t two well-meaning guys with competing visions for America. There’s a once in a generation threat to the whole system of government, rooted in corruption, incompetence and cruelty. You can’t just ask the usual debate questions. We are sitting at 230k dead and the opening question was “how will you handle the virus moving forward.” The President is out there holding daily rallies talking about locking up Joe Biden and calling him a criminal and he doesn’t have to answer for that insanity at all. The health care question to Joe Biden is “how will you promise not to impose government run health care, and also how will you promise to protect Medicare.” It is all so fucking stupid and enraging.
Second, the post-game coverage makes me want to scream. Like I am physically ill from it this morning, even after sleeping on it. This motherfucker spends 90 minutes lying his ass off and the UNIVERSAL media take is “new tone, restrained.” Ranting about $3.5 million from Russia and “who built those cages” and the usual avalanche of bullshit is now Presidential if you don’t pull your pants down, take a dump and smear the shit all over the stage. Trump gets to act like a toddler, not get called out for it, then benefit from any semblance of adult behavior.
Fuck all of them, I hate them, they suck, they will never get better, I wish I had the discipline to stop caring.
