The Crypto Thread

Hmm, Bog is fighting back thoughā€¦

Itā€™s not just the resistance below 60k, itā€™s all the people whoā€™ve been thinking something like, ā€œok, I missed the last few chances, when it gets above 60k again Iā€™m snap selling.ā€

My ratios got rekt too lol, but thatā€™s fine. Itā€™d be more fine if I hadnā€™t just increased my position on some and bought this dippier ratio dip instead but eh. The flipside is some other buy orders will probably get hit to balance it out.

Probably the most fascinating thing in crypto is how so many people think other people are manipulating the price or doing other nefarious things, because that idea is more palatable than the idea that itā€™s all just idiots gambling.

Anyone have experience with ETH staking? Terrie or awesome?

Itā€™s gambling and people are manipulating the price because gambling attracts people who cheat.

dogecoin past 9 cents if this hits a buck someday Iā€™m gonna be majorly tilted

me 8 or 10 years ago idk bitcoin is the future currency of the world buy buy buy

me now absolutely nothing has changed about bitcoin since, nobody uses it for anything other than gray area or illegal purchases or scamming and it could never handle any real volume of transactions so of course itā€™s skyrocketed in price and keeps going up.

Iā€™d rather own coinbase than crypto but that IPO is gonna be insane hype. :/

yolo update: 62k of realized profit. 6.2k donated to progressive causes. nearing some more sell targets. plan is to use profits to create and fund an independent zine/newspaper.

Have you posted about this ITF before? Iā€™m curious to know more about your thoughts and plans, even if they arenā€™t fully fleshed out.

In what way do you mean? I might agree and this might just be a semantic issue.

Nice. What wallet is that?

Also, the obvious play is to sell it all and buy Ripple. Big money, fabulous prizes.

Crypto (and stocks) are gambling. Gambling attracts scummy people, including people who believe they deserve to win and will cheat because they think they are just righting a wrong and getting the reward they were entitled to. This includes Ponzi schemes, pump and dumps, and other scams.

Lol no argument there, but I meant specifically the ā€˜manipulationā€™ part, that is, manipulation that isnā€™t bold-faced ponzis and pump and dumps.

I was thinking mainly pump and dumps. I assume there are other ways to manipulate the price, but I havenā€™t looked into it.

I donā€™t know anyone that doesnā€™t expect 500,000% on their crypto in three months.rh

There was a penny in my account, I deposited $500, bought Doge and it tripled overnight on the first Doge spike, withdrew $500 the next day. Donked some off on GME, breakeven since. EZ 855,977% gains on RH since I ā€˜startedā€™ with a penny.

Congrats DOGE hodlers

omg. PTSD from the last bull run has people taking 20% profits and doge is hitting 11 cents omfg.

Anyone that listened to that funny segment on DOGE a few years ago would be a millionaire at these prices.
