I honestly don’t really get the point of why people got involved with these various funds that are going bust

Like seems the whole point of getting involved with crypto from investing standpoint is primarily seeking some sort of huge win where you 10x your bet down the road. So why are people falling over self to assume the risk inherent to the sector just to get some set % interest? Why not just buy and hold some coins? (Maybe I misunderstand what these funds do)
