i do think SoC and his lawyer answered everything correctly, although they could have given trmp more rope to hang himself. however, the fact is they the tape is evidence of a crime. and they only planned to release it if trmp attacked (lol definitely 100% chance). i hope they were planning on giving it to the fbi even if trmp didn’t attack them. because otherwise they are covering it up.

I know it’s not gonna happen but apparently Trump could be arrested if he steps foot in Georgia. Again, I know it’s not happening, so don’t @ me Narrarator/Sweet Summer Child. I’m posting it because I find it amusing that a president could get arrested for interfering in an election.

Not to pick on you specifically, but we really should be past the point of thinking that the law is some kind of major impediment for Trump. Laws are only as effective as there is a willingness to enforce them. Without enforcement, they are just words. So the question in any of these scenarios should be not if Trump can do something, but rather if people will let Trump do it. I think military intervention might be too far for enough people to make it implausible that Trump can do it, but I’m not THAT sure. If you buy into Trump’s bullshit, then I could easily see getting on board with some kind of extreme measures. I mean, you don’t even have to buy his bullshit, you could just think that the alternative, ie having Joe Biden and Kamela in charge would be far worse than that. I think it would be hard for anyone who has been paying attention to the right and the rhetoric many of them use to conclude that there isn’t a significant portion of the right that actually would prefer an authoritarian takeover of our government to having a Democrat back in charge.
