I posted about this before, but I don’t think a “Smart Trump” is possible. What you could is a smart, evil person, who isn’t at like Trump, but puts on a convincing act and fakes it.
Now “Smart Trump” and “Smart person acting like Trump” may be a useless distinction, but I think the two are different.

I don’t remember ever seeing him in a bowtie in any of the numerous Tucker clips posted on unstuck. Maybe he ditched it a long time ago.
It’s hard to describe but his cult loves him because deep down they know he is actually stupid and actually racist, not pretending to be. This is why his inheritance and bankruptcies and tax cheating and actual cheating and all around scumbaggery doesn’t matter, while they hate people like Mittens. He’s truly one of them.

Yeah, that’s why there can’t be a “Smart Trump”. But even “Smart person acting like Trump” is unlikely. We’re talking Daniel Day-Lewis level acting and it has to be turned on for years before he hits the national stage.

That is a good and reassuring post.
A smart Trump never would have ignored the pandemic. He/She would have used it to exploit advantages. Trump’s too lazy and stupid for that, and had less interest in it than a 5 year old.
Trump is attacking Mitch because McMitch is not on board with yet another episode of Trump’s election shit show.
