Cue the Great Replacement.
dems needed to fight back just as hard on this shit and they’re not it’s infuriating. The more they don’t fight back, the more they lose ground.
At least 25% of them would never believe anything else sure but those polling numbers wouldn’t be quite that sky high with people insisting the reverse just as hard.

sorry already have a mass order of that scarlet T cattle brand
When does this 17 state bullshit come to an end?
I’ve always considered this an interesting discussion. Relative to the rest of the world has it ever been worse? I think next four years hugely significant (captain obvious I know) to this thesis.
Not only is Trumpism normalized, this being a stolen election through voter fraud will be normalized.
Like we’ve basically given up on ever arguing about the Russia stuff even though we know it’s true. Smart people on this forum argue that it wasn’t that big of a deal or didn’t happen, lol… Like our laws weren’t caught up to modern times, so they ducked legal ramifications, but it happened.
But a year of tweeting “NO COLLUSION! NO OBSTRUCTION! 17 ANGRY DEMOCRATS!” was enough to make it accepted fact in America that Donald Trump’s campaign had nothing to do with Russia.
Half the country is going to know in their bones that Trump won in 2020, and the other half is going to know that it’s useless to argue.
We’re still heading for either a civil war, widespread and ongoing political violence, some sort of secession, or full-throated fascism in the next decade. Or a combination of the above.
My current easiest way to explain it is that the Boomers have enough power and smart/ruthless enough political leadership to avoid any reckoning with reality before their natural demise. They don’t care if we live on a flaming rock with rising waters and a nut job dictator, as long as they don’t have to face any tough questions or consequences of any kind. This is their country and we’re just living in it, until they’re gone.
Hope you have enough to give the Washington Post one.
For these Rs saying they have “doubts about the election fairness” is said just as offhandedly as a non-Patriots fan saying Brady definitely cheated during Deflategate or a Patriots fan saying the opposite is definitely true.
There are no consequences for giving the “wrong answer” so they just give whatever answer feels good and supports their team.
The book Skydiver recommended, Politics is for Power, said highly educated and engaged Rs are MORE likely to say batshit crazy theories are true to pollsters because they know what the party line is supposed to be whereas the less educated rank and file members are more likely to be guessing.
70 million fuckin people voted for trump it’s un fuckin believable. the only hope for society is if it turns out it’s projection again like it always was and they were adding 20-30 million fraudulent republican votes and it just wasn’t enough
Almost at 75 million for Trump now.
Ok at least we know who has the sweetsummerchild account.
Well, fair of course, but I didn’t mean it exactly like that. Although, being privileged and caring a lot about the underprivileged is not the same as being underprivileged; not that you were implying that, but my thought is just that relatively privileged people will fade most of the worst stuff that is in store for other Americans, ie same as it ever was. If you’re part of the privileged class, there’s no urgent reason to go anywhere.
Now, I would amend that somewhat. Even if you have some money, you probably wouldn’t want to live in a country like Russia. If the US is irreversibly on a path of transforming into a Russia-like polity, then I’d begin to discount material privileges pretty quickly and understand if people with some resources want to gtfo.
I’m legit shook and cant stop thinking about how unbelievably fucked we are
But it’s not at all surprising.
Capitalism corrodes and corrupts people’s humanity, and the places with the most extreme forms of it have the worst people.
I purchased 10 acres in Colorado after Trump was elected. Almost finished setting up the homestead there.
I’m not disagreeing with you, necessarily. But these words have been spoken before in history, and these words have been wrong before in history.
I had something else in mind
