If you polled every person in the trump administration that he appointed I would guess less than 20% would know what the federalist papers were.

If you’re smart enough to retain random trivia from school (because unless you’re very into history like me that’s all the federalist papers are) you’re too smart to be inside the Trump camp right now. Even dumb smart people can see that the time to leave was at or before the Ukraine thing. Everyone who stayed was fine with rolling with a guard rail free Trump administration… which is pretty likely to end in doing at least some time in prison and ending the upper class portion of your career.

Yeah that could also happen. 3rd parties are like the most important thing it looks like. IIRC the green party got enough votes that if they had gone to Hillary, she would have won.
The libertarian party got enough votes that if they went to Trump, he would have won.
That’s assuming those people would have voted for the lesser of two evils in their opinion had the option not been there, who knows, but it definitely has a big impact.
So it could come down to a game of who can run the best 3rd party, my money on the Republicans.

“Heidi Stirrup, an ally of top Trump adviser Stephen Miller, was quietly installed at the Justice Department as a White House liaison a few months ago. She was told within the last two weeks to vacate the building after top Justice officials learned of her efforts to collect insider information about ongoing cases and the department’s work on election fraud.”

That’s a bit simplistic. There’s a wide gulf between the Green Party and centrist Hillary Clinton. It will be hard to determine how many Green voters would have never voted for Clinton or how many Libertarians would have never voted Trump. I think it’s very likely though that 3rd party voters will be to a significant extend true believers.
