Yeah, Twitter’s policy is also pretty damn evil, but they just want to sell your data. The Mercers want to use your data to directly manipulate you for their own shitty political agenda.

So here’s a likely dumb question. How do these sites know what kind of number it is. I’ve got a google voice number and it can do everything a regular number can do. So how is it distinguishable from a landline or cell number.

Any number individualized to us will be used for id by someone.
This is the exact same thing that has been said about social security numbers forever.
If corporations didn’t run the country it would be pretty easy to outlaw using such things as identifiers. But lol us.
