Depends on the audience I guess, with 21 I see it as they had plenty of power in numbers to do something about what they knew was horrible, which makes them about as bad as a person can be.
Very different then if it was a small number or these people individually released their stories over time in which case it would be well you can’t expect a person to go on a suicide mission taking on President Trump on their own.
This is especially true when you consider their personal circumstances. The absolute worst case scenario was sliding into an insanely lucrative job or hitting the book/speaking circuit. Just absolute sociopaths, every last one of them.
We’re going to goof on him and quickly move on but this encapsulates the kind of mental gymnastics that explains how the GOP did so well down ballot despite Orange getting thrashed. The derp logic that the problem wasn’t the great Repube “policy’s” but that we just haven’t found the right guy yet, is item #3,455,192 that shows yet again how WAAF we really are.
It is a struggle to see a feasible way to deal with as long as Fox and Facebook are allowed to roam free in their current form.
“failed to win the state by just under 13,000 votes” wtf kind of wording is that? People spitting out sentences that make absolutely zero sense so they can avoid saying Trump lost?
A lot of it is because of an erosion of public trust in institutions. Many people think that elite institutions like government and both political parties don’t care about them or their problems. They’re right! This mistrust and rejection of the validity of the compact of citizenship and public mindedness I think leads to embracing conspiratorial thinking.
