The punishing women (who enjoy sex) is the point. If it was about saving babies they’d be all excited over increased maternity leave, universal healthcare, child tax credits, etc instead.

The rank and file of the pro life movement believes that ABORTION IS MURDER and they aren’t inclined to think much more about it than that.
The intellectual movement behind pro life is much more complex and sinister, which is why for them battlegrounds like restricting access to birth control are just as important as abortion. But when you get into restricting access to birth control or restricting IVF you lose a lot of the rank and file pro-lifers, who rightly realize restricting birth control is at best tangential to advancing the ABORTION IS MURDER proposition. That’s why the main battleground on those issues is the courts, rather than anything that can ever be decided at the ballot box.
In other words, abortion furor is how they motivate people who have no major problem with birth control to effectively vote in favor of restricting it.

Yes, but baked into that “all babies are blessings from God” is “all sex that isn’t making babies is sin,” and the women who do it must be punished.

How many rank and file pro lifers are under 30? I don’t know a one, but I do know several +60. I think it comes down to education or just not being indoctrinated into a bunch of bullshit beliefs

And there has to be a better way to highlight this. I mean, it’s so fucking obvious that Republicans dgaf about babies or kids. They value fetuses over babies and gun manufacturers over kids. They’re getting clobbered in the polls on these two issues, but not by nearly enough imo

The “due to Dobbs” part is just armchair theory. Have you seen any evidence of this or just talking heads?
Literally every prominent pollster has come to this conclusion, so the onus should really be on you to prove Roe’s overturning didn’t affect the elections, but, yes, of course there is evidence of this as well.
