So, what you’re saying is “We got him!”
I hope that works better in Australia.

That’s as good as all his bullshit excuses.
Yeah well I think the actual reason is “he didn’t comply with the rules and idgaf about the judge’s procedural technicality ruling” but he can’t write that.
I searched Djokovic on Twitter.
Let’s just say after the bots are weeded out, then it would be a good way to identify horrible people. All the anti-government, anti-vaxxer morons are flying the flag high.
Djokovic appeal tossed out. I don’t think he can appeal any further.
Full written statements coming later but it’s been made known that this case was more looking at the legality of the government to retract visas as opposed to whether they specifically could in this case.
Tough break, idiot!
They made the appeal on public-interest grounds basically as that’s the grounds on which the minister threw him out. The appeal was always a lost cause as the standard applied is basically “was the minister’s reasoning so wrong as to be nonsensical” and his reasoning was coherent. He is the guy who gets to judge what the public interest looks like.
djoker never thought he’d lose on the court
He’s still in the draw at 1
I’ll believer it when rublev is on the court vs Kecmanovic
Maybe they’ll play all his matches by sending his opponents to Serbia.
That number is easily 80,000+ too
And California has 39 million and 78,000 deaths. If Florida had gotten vaccinated exactly as much as Australia they might shave ten or twenty thousand deaths off (down to maybe California’s rate), but Australia’s rate is so low not just because of vaccination but because they were able to go zero covid for so long. That was never feasible in the US.
I mean Australia’s fully vaccinated rate is 81%, California’s is 67%, Florida is 64%. I wonder if Florida has a higher death rate than California because that’s where all the olds move. Probably. Surprising to me that California’s vaccination rate isn’t much higher than Florida.
I think they mean Australia has been super diligent about border restrictions the whole pandemic, which allowed them to be near zero Covid in be first place. And people have had to put up with massive restrictions for two years and near-compulsory vaccination—all this required major sacrifice on the part of Australians. I believe they even deferred some of the early vaccine doses since they had such low Covid rates. And these programs have been extremely successful until now. So, they’re going to stick to the letter of the law on this stuff, and we shouldn’t really fault them for it.
In other news, China shut down all flights to the USA.
