That shouldn’t be too hard. My understanding is that the technical specifications of NBA Top Shot already allow you to pay more for a moment than the asking price, but you can’t currently do that because you’d have to write and submit your own Cadence contract with the higher price. However, it would still require logic to break ties, i.e., the initial proposal of randomly awarding the contract.
I’m also not sure it wouldn’t introduce new problems. For example, while it’s pretty easy for us to understand, I could see noobs being sort of confused by adding a high bid. It also introduces the possibility of shilling. Now, I know people will say “who would shill at 5%?”, but the answer is likely “more people than you think.” Also, they would have to change the way orders process. If the shill can win the bidding pool with a high bid, then they’d either have to require that a winning bid executes the contract or implement a system that offers the sale to the next bidder in the pool queue if canceling on the Dapper page is still possible.

If this queue goes faster today it means the theory that the pack distribution/opening was jamming everything up was correct. Maybe a new way to handle drops in the future? Don’t distribute packs until all sales are completed.

the message in blue is confusing, it seems like they might assign the initial people in queue before the start a random number in line and then people that join after just line up in order
