Flooding the market with guaranteed packs seems like a bad idea for a fiat digital product.
Over $200 but under $300. This Trae Young is one that I’m holding. The only other 7500 LE under $300 are Tyler Herro and Damian Lillard.
I just sold all my s2 commons. Was that dumb?
Eh either way I turned $14 into like $180 so whatever.
Had one of my friends try to sign up this morning and sign ups are currently disabled. Assuming they’re doing this to block new accounts from the guaranteed packs.
Lol not me. My wife is making all kinds of wild buys in the marketplace(as am I). Pretty sure she bought an oubre for $100 the other day. She is pretty sure she and is better at this and might have a point. She convinced me to hold my Wiseman when it was 300. Her account is a bunch of premium moments and mine is 30 deandre aytons, 87 low serial bench players and James Wiseman lol.
Also it appears my account is roughly what it was worth the last time I was able to trade on Thursday.
It’s going to do exactly what it is intended to do. Make future moments more accessible to meet the insane demand for packs. It should also make the LEs more valuable simply because a x/15000 should be more valuable than an x/50000 all other things held equal.
I mean they don’t have a choice right now. If 5% of people get packs each drop the product will die which is bad for literally everything. The best they can do is to make future moments more plentiful (and thereby less valuable) while simultaneously guaranteeing the scarcity of what has already been minted.
I think it depends on your longer term viewpoint on NBA TopShot. If you see this as a product that will be around in 5 years it’s hard to not think the S1/S2 moments will be the most valuable by a good margin as we move forward. If you think this company is an irredeemable fuckup and/or this is a fad then selling now makes sense.
That’s part of what makes this fun. No one knows.
How will these outlive changes in technology? At some point you won’t even be able to open these as tech changes.
It’s a miracle $200 Will Barton successfully sold for $209, that was a sweat
I’m going to go out on a limb and say as long as there is a NBA digital collectibles market then people will have access to these. If your point is that maybe in 20 years GIFs won’t be a thing you may have a point but I don’t think anyone here is making a 20 year play on this.
I was asking about gifs themselves. Given tech treads seems like 20 years is a stretch. It’s sort of like creating a collectable that is held on floppy disks, no?
Do you think short internet video clips will be obsolete at some point soon? Comparing a GIF to a storage mechanism does not seem like a good comparison. We have been using the same file types for decades now.
Either I’m a fish or the bots are asleep, but I just hit 3 good value moments.
Probably right. It’s just interesting to think about the possible wrinkles down the road.
I am not pretending to be an oracle on this to be clear. It wouldn’t surprise me if it had crashed and burned a year from now or if it was thriving.
Pre order a 9$ pack that you get two weeks from now? What is this nonsense?
Your only chance to get a guaranteed pack
Reading back through the thread it seems like my time without internet service was wild. Seeing some good deals pop up on rayvin right now but phone service is way to slow for me.
Yup. I’ve unloaded my full dapper balance this morning on deals. Charmander1 looks like the only bot right now.
Market must really be heading up also. I just had a maxi kleber #1xxx i listed probably wednesday sell for $50.
