The best thing about the YouTube tv dvr, besides unlimited recordings is that on sporting events you don’t need to pad them. YouTube tracks in real time when games end and keep recording until they are actually over.
One downside of their dvr is on a lot of stuff they will substitute ad infested on demand for an actual recording.
So the Sacklers kill a couple hundred thousand people and walk away with a couple billion in Swiss and cayman banks, and I’m supposed to think this outcome is in any way acceptable?
It’s not. There had better be a ‘you’ll be in prison from now on’ tier criminal investigation coming down the pike or this is seriously the most fucked up thing the government has done in over a decade absolutely including every action carried out by DJT.
Obviously there aren’t going to be consequences, that’s how the system works. A guy just got out of prison after serving 36 years for stealing $50 from a bakery. It would have been longer but a lawyer successfully argued that in Alabama today there would be a 20-year maximum sentence for the same crime. Progress, folks!
Crimes are relative to station, or more crudely, “class”. The Sacklers have a lot of prestige and power. A crime of large and murky dimensions is only to be expected of people of such lofty rank. But for the poor guy, $50 is a lot for him, therefore considering his station the crime is large in scale. Can’t let that happen.
Other than what’s on local network TV and ESPN, correct. I bought the streaming version of NFL Sunday Ticket yesterday, which was great. Bit pricey at 300 bucks but that’s worth it rather than go to a sportsbar to watch ten packers games. I’ve been trying for years to give them my money but this is the first time they’ve been willing to take it. Apparently it is only for folks in apartments who can’t get direct tv (lol?) But I don’t know how strict that is because like eight people in my complex have directv. If I had a house I’d sign up saying my house is an apartment and put 1 in the unit number. Or steal a college student’s identity as noted above. You never know.
There are a lot of internal company documents in the public record that are enormously incriminating. If they don’t blot out the sun for the Sacklers it’ll be Epsteins first deal level fuckery. They are literally as obviously guilty as he was.
Just a reminder that the reason we didn’t talk about acquiring IP creatively on 22 was because they were a content producer themselves and felt they needed to protect other content providers. There being no rules here to speak of there doesn’t seem to be a reason to protect the IP of the NFL…
I have YouTube tv and subscribed to sling just to get red zone during the season. About $100 for the whole nfl season, which is fine since I chopped $80/no off my lol cable bill (fuck off Spectrum, absolute WOAT company ever).
Yeah I don’t know what it costs now but I got Sunday Ticket free the first year I had directv, second year they were gonna charge around $420-ish for the season so I canceled, that was in 2017. I’m sure it’s gone up since then so $300 actually sounds like a deal.
They also apparently will let you order games a la carte now for like 70 bones which is obv high, not sure if that’s for everyone or just what they charge the pubs but I saw that option on one of the TVs at the pub yesterday.
