I did a lot of this as a kid. Its pretty fun. Good family and social side.
still doing the TKD, 3 times a week and liking it. Also i just said fuck it and dropped soda cold turkey, done it a few times before and actually for whatever reason i had less effects from caffiene withdrawal than in the past. I’m about 27 days no soda so thats great, still drinking the beer but mostly limiting it to social events.
I didn’t track it closely but seems i lost about 10 pounds as well, i was definitely 192-195 a couple months ago and i started weighing in a couple weeks ago and am somehow down to 182 or so. I’ll take it, probably just mostly from the soda tbh. I’ve had similar drops before when cutting it. Belly got smaller pretty quickly too although its still there.
I read Atomic Habits by James Clear and kinda used that to jumpstart but downloaded a habit tracker that I have used before and made No Soda Today one of the habits along with a bunch of others I’m trying to build and that has helped. Also made one that was either Taekwondo/Walk Around the Block so trying to build a habit at least of a small portion of my day being some exercise. I would like to transition the walking to a HIIT workout or something probably once i’m in a bit better shape. Thinking of adding some pushups/situps randomly into my day as well or something.
