This is the OFFICIAL KICK OFF POST, so let’s KICK OFF

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. The dealine for submissions will be MONDAY MARCH 29th. As last time you can have till midnight in whichever timezone you haunt.

  2. All the categories will be collected together in the post after this one for ease of use. You should submit one song to every category that is not your own. So that’s 13 SONGS IN TOTAL

  3. We’re still waiting on Nicholasp27’s category. Once it arrives I’ll add it to the category post, and also @ you all again to make sure you get it.

  4. For each submission you MUST send: the category it’s in, the artist and title and a youtube link.

  5. If it’s a song that has several versions then make it clear which one. It’s common for people to try and find your submissions elsewhere depending on listening habits.

  6. Spotify links are very helpful, and most people enjoy writing and reading short explanatory statements about the submissions, but these are OPTIONAL

  7. Send your submissions via PM to:

  • @pyatnitski for all categories except pyatnitski’s
    (I’d strongly prefer you to put all the categories in one PM)
  • @LouisCyphre for pyatnitski’s category
  1. Remember to designate one of your submissions as your JOKER. This is the submission which will earn you 1.5x your awarded points for it. Put that info in your PM to me (pyatnitski) even if it’s for my category (though, obviously, don’t tell me the song, just that my category is the joker.)

To clarify: If an album was for example in the top20 of the dance/electronic charts then it qualifies, right?

Again, the spirit of the category is less well known songs from very well known people

@cassette I know people have already quizzed you on your category, and I’m fine with it so I feel guilty asking more, however, I will. Does it have to be a song from the 11+ part of their career and illustrate that they were still good, or could it be from their debut album?

What’s the easiest way to check if a song was released as a single? Feeling kinda dumb over here.

edit: Wikipedia seems to do the trick.
