SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

NY has 10,000 chloroquine tabs, wants 30,000 ventilators - doesn’t seem to be begging for both at once?

Florida after a ship full of chloroquine yet?

so what? I’m not saying NY shouldn’t get as many ventilators as possible. I’m saying that chloroquine is being widely used there from reports I’ve seen.

What about apple cider vinegar?

I was talking about NY numbers dropping so much for one day

Update from Cuomo presser. Didn’t catch the exact number of tests because the slides weren’t showing up at the beginning of his talk.

My project manager’s boss got his car broken into over the weekend. Didn’t steal his $300 sunglasses or fancy electronics. Just dug under the seat and found a box with a mask and gloves in it.

Freaked him out enough to go out and buy a gun. Apparently if you tip the gun store guy $20 he’ll let you in early before all the guns are sold out. Lol.

It’s an experiment being run in precisely one city which has little alternatives (see CNN video where even reception seems a little full) GL. 10,000 pills shipped, no doubt this will be the magic bullet the rest of the world missed.

Yeah, apparently this one doctor has been very busy. Must have some way of getting a high % of local covid patients to hear about him and go directly to him. And these must all be patients that had shortness of breath symptoms, which went away within 4-6 hours.

The rest of the world hasn’t missed it? It’s being used in France, Korea, China, I’m sure many other places.

France as well. But not a well controlled study from what the science peeps here say.

So they think it’s promising enough to run an experiment but we should still openly dismiss it and not discuss it here?

In some ways, it’d be nice to see a country being kicked out of the EU for once.

But given that kicking out Hungary would likely lead to the rest of the Visegrad Four leaving and leaning closer to the authoritarianism seen in Hungary, I’d rather avoid that.

Yeah, the z-pak drug, azithromycin, is a miracle for bacterial bronchitis and does act that fast.

I mean, there is a chance that some or even many of these shortness of breath cases could be an opportunistic bacterial infection and not the virus itself? It would seem unlikely that this particular symptom was so widespread, though.

I’m skeptical of the source, and we still need a randomized controlled trial to say for sure.

ahahahaha so this doctor guy tries to explain COVID and chloroquine to top expert Rudy. Doc is knowledgeable and interesting so far but I wish he wasn’t being interviewed by an unstoppable moron.

Also, this doctor got interviewed about this treatment on a live stream by noted journalist… [checks notes] … Rudy Giuliani.

Edit: Ponied.

Fatality rate in NY State up to 1.8%. Not good.

Is it possible/likely even that covid has spread so widely that people reporting unusually tight chests have a slight infection that their immune system struggles to deal with as efficiently as usual because of covid exhaustion?

That would make a ton of sense if he’s really just clearing up bronchitis.

The French doctor touting this looks like Trump’s doctor lol.
