Ill suggest the same thing i did for inso as nun. Containment thread. That way people who want to interact can and the rest of us dont have to. If he suddenly changes his tune he can come out and play.

Will please let us know if you start to see an uptick in new hospitalizations as well. Washington state doesn’t report hospitalizations for some reason. Or at least this site doesn’t scrape it. https://covidtracking.com/data/state/washington/

Also I was wondering - do you have any insight into why the PPE situation is so terrible even though we’ve had months to see this coming? Is a lot of it hoarding and price gouging? I know healthcare workers are putting massive pressure to get more PPE.

I feel like celebrating other people getting infected by the virus invites it upon myself. So I’m definitely not doing that. Nope. Not me.

Do not want.

I realize these days the Venn diagram for Conservative and Piece of Shit has as much of a shocking overlap as Conservative and Unable to Form a Persuasive Argument to Anyone but Racists/Bigots/Morons, but I don’t want to preemptively shut the door in the face of anyone who has legitimate arguments for fiscally or socially conservative policies and politicians.

As many have said, the problem with problematic posters is rarely that they are Conservative. It’s that they behave like trolls.

Trip report from going outside for the first time in 4 days:

  1. Grocery stores are pretty much stocked with everything except rice, hand sanitizer and TP. I bought a giant softsoap refill that should last me through the apocalypse.
  2. Beach and walkway blocked off, people still walking along the side of the sidewalk but keeping ok distance.
  3. Why are ice cream shops and fancy beer stores still open? Those seem like really fertile breeding grounds - especially the counter at an ice cream shop.
  4. Subway seems like a bad idea for the same reason to me. Flat cold, counters where breath can settle and build up throughout the day.
  5. If this isn’t enough to slow the spread in LA/Redondo Beach we’re kinda fucked. Because I didn’t see much social interaction anywhere except among family members. Other places might be a different story.
  6. I want to punch every Boomer I see that gives even a whiff of attitude this is all overblown and unnecessary. Justified?
  7. Man my mail piles up fast.

And probably bread yeast, which is impossible to find anywhere near me or anywhere else as far as I can tell.

I might be a little more tempted to celebrate if I had any hope that their goldfish memories would ever remember that Republican leadership/news media was telling them this thing was a big nothingburger until 2 weeks ago.

As is I know they’ll just blame Democrats for overblowing it, then find a way to blame Democrats when they start dropping like flies.

Yeah I see a lot of people posting bread-baking on FB. The smell of baking bread in my house would destroy any willpower I’ve ever had for anything. Might as well just bring home some crack rocks.

Everyone keeps quoting that one study.

Could we get maybe a follow up study with clothes, hair, wood, carpet, granite counter tops, hot and cold food, bathroom tile floors, etc.? Also temperature and humidity ranges?

That would be super.

Maybe hope - probably take forever and need scarce resources though.

People with antibodies may become really valuable soon.

Prediction: there will be come kind of relief bill for people with C19 hospital bills in the future. All the red state people who never got tested will be fucked. They will still vote for Trump.

Yeah, they’ll give patients $600, hospitals $1600 and health insurance companies $16000 per case.

It’s true, we would have all been fine if Democrats hadn’t gotten upset. Dem outrage has an inexplicable booster effect on the virus.

Obama’s fault. Impeachment’s fault. Media’s fault.
