SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

Unfortunately she will know you’re not nuts far too soon.

It says “before August 1”, it would probably be in like June.

I’m in the NBA betting world, there have been some whispers around the place that they’ll just call the regular season over and we’ll get playoffs, played without a crowd. I think this is definitely a dog to happen though.

Btw, if there are any lawyer types who might know whether this is possible/plausible, please let me know.

Tech bros also hoarding any ventilators perhaps?

Unlikely with a number of players testing positive already

I’ve been wondering about that. Let’s say we have 30 minute or quicker tests, tons of them. Also antibody tests so we know who already had it. You test every player and coach before every game. Anyone in a high risk category (mostly coaches) can’t be there.

Might work for the NBA, MLB, NFL.

So are people who know they had it just free to roam the streets like Contagion now?

Tom Hanks is gonna come out and be a huge spokesman for this thing I bet, assuming he pulls through.

Jesus - if they start giving out wristbands for people who test positive for antibodies or can prove a positive test far enough back - wristband people are gonna power the economy for a while. There’s gonna be a huge incentive for young healthy people to get it.

Is this a specific Senate rule or a more general Robert’s rules of order thing? Can’t find an clear answer on Google

This is what happens with some of that equipment/. I don’t know if it because it is being overused, not fitted properly, cheap second choice gear or what.

I’ve also had a tight chest for a week or two but no other symptoms. I’ve put it down to slight asthma (which I had badly as a child) brought on by hay fever (which I get this time each year).

I’ve found that anti histamines help a lot, which you should try before worrying about covid imo (unless you get a fever ofc).

Not wishing this to happen to anyone in particular, but it might take a celebrity death a la Rock Hudson and Freddie for people to start taking it seriously.

I wore a mask today for 3.5 hours with my parents. The first couple hours it was unpleasant but bearable. The next 45 minutes were uncomfortable. The last 45 were extremely uncomfortable, and painful for my chin and nose, and it was even a chore to breath efficiently due to the extra effort required. I had to take longer, slower breaths.

So I have just the slightest clue what they are going through for 12+ hours a day, every day, putting that mask back on the same bruised spot… On top of the risk of getting sick and the mental toll.

I don’t have the right words right now for the debt we owe/will owe our medical workers worldwide. To call them heroes seems like not enough. I just want to give them a hug and a pat on the back. What they are doing for humanity defies logic.

The Johns Hopkins site just had a major update, individual country graphs are now available and it looks like county level data is visible in the USA soon-to-be-#1 map.

It might take a few famous people not dying to get some people to realize it’s not a 99% fatality rate.

As far as celebrity deaths, it should start and maybe end with some kind of a game show or reality show host.

This is not just about being a MAGA. This is the way corporations lie and I’m not saying it’s 100%, but beyond a certain relatively small size of corporation, it’s pretty near 100%. Truth that would hurt the company is verbotten.

That is hilarious. Is that just a Republican trough of jellybeans in honor of Reagan?
