Open A 10 off to 20, 3 callers including aggressive asian in BB. Flop 863 checks around. Turn 10 completing the rainbow, I bet 25 and asian dude check raises to 125. I don’t see any way he checks a set twice, what’s our plan?

Bleh. Guy just called off 1k (he bet 160, I shipped 1k to try to make it look like I had a big draw, I had a set) with naked flush draw and hit.
I swear I never hit my flush draws when I actually play poker while every board goes runner runner flush against me.

Shit like that is why I stopped playing poker for anything more than a $20 sit down w/ friends. I know the math says you made the right move but goddamn when you get burned it hurts. If you win that hand, it pays your vacation more or less.

It happened again. Same guy. J 7 4, we get in 1500 each (he bets 40, I make it 120, he ships 1500, hyachachacha), he nails the flush again. I legitimately have no idea how professional poker players maintain sanity. I basically never get upset and I definitely had Mike McD face.

Like say you’re a Vegas pro and you grind these terrible games only to finally get a whale and you lose 2 buy ins on bad but not absurd run outs, how do you not go insane?

As a live (non-Vegas) PLO grinder, I’m immune to it. And possibly already insane.
