RFC: Removal/Ban of gimmick accounts used to circumvent bans (UPDATED OP!!!)

OK, I’ll go on believing the guy who actually helped run a great community instead.

Thank you for your feedback, unsought though it was.

Hey maybe responding to every single plen-t-plaint post from the Perpetual Grievance Squad isn’t necessary?

That’s a bit disingenuous. The week-long ban wasn’t reversed, but it should have been. You admitted it was a mistake, but this was after the fact when nothing could be done about it.

Well, you could have apologized. I guess that’s one thing. But that didn’t happen either.

Also nope. And I don’t equate lessened with reversed.

The problem is that people take bans too seriously.

That’s a problem, sure. Not sure it’s fixable, though.

He doesn’t do apologies, clearly.

He failed to apologise for banning me for a week after walking back his contemptible claims of NAKED RACISM.

No one takes a deserved ban that seriously.

People don’t like to be banned wrongly, though.

See what happened when Riverman picked up a one day ban lol?

I can’t help but laugh at people who are shocked and outraged at bans that seems pretty predictable to me.

It’s a good thing for you that some people were shocked and outraged that you were about to get permed. Unless you wouldn’t have cared about that, I suppose.

I felt I had a point to make and I was willing to go down for what I believed. I don’t have any complaints about how I was modded and I left it up to the community to decide my fate. I just wanted to make sure that I was not being misunderstood.

I never made a second account to post while temp-banned and I had no intention of coming back on a new account. (Well, for at least a year or two.)

Actions have consequences. I understood the consequences of my actions and was willing to live with that because it was important to me. Some people in these mod wars seem like entitled babies who just want to be able to do what they want without consequences.

You absolutely were going to get banned by a mod acting against community sentiment if a few people didn’t get outraged (i.e. - act like entitled babies I guess) on your behalf.

This is essentially a tautology and is more just an authoritarian catch-phrase than anything else.

Modding well or not has consequences as well.

This was a good post. I don’t have anything else to add. I think I’ll give it two hearts.

I still don’t know if you’re really a libertarian poking fun at liberals or anti-libertarian. I’ve never seen anyone make a more convincing case for libertarianism than you.

Just a test to see if you can be honest, because anyone who would put two brain cells on the job would know the answer…why is Tony Blair your avatar?
