Yeah, i guess I don’t talk about it much, but I was stationed in ABQ for 4 years before coming to CA.
The top 3 of skydiver’s were REALLY good.
If that’s what it takes to beat my submission there, I can’t complain.

I was really looking forward to this song after all the praise heaped on The Specials but honestly found it to be just ok, sad.
honestly, the only one that really “beat” yours was the winner. 2-5 were so close they could have been in any order and I would have been happy.

The entire song is about traveling
He tells like a 10 minute story when live about this song before he sings it, also
An old man and his wife planned to travel forever but then she died before they could so he traveled alone without her.
Passenger met him on the streets and heard his tale and then sung a song about it.
Then the second verse is about a woman traveling alone because her husband left her for a younger woman.
I’m fine if you didn’t like the song, but it was definitely about traveling.
@cassette may be one of my sworn Walrus enemies but even I gotta say this song is lit. Certified banger! And I wouldn’t usually like this genre, I don’t think.

XTC and Dar Williams were mine. I think my last post didn’t go through, but I’m in the second day of a power outage and my internet is intermittent. Hard to do the research on mine. Will hopefully be ready the day after I get power back.

Happy to have another fan of the song, even though it wasnt my submission!
As I said in my writeup, I really went straight past it the first time, I guess just because it was cued up in a whole playlist and I didn’t listen as closely. Really interesting just how much more I grew to like it over subsequent repeats. An inspired choice by Mr cassette I have to say.
